3rd Annual Stanford Postdoctoral Research Symposium: Empowering Future Leaders

Is your research important? Will you be a leader? Apply to the 3rd Annual Stanford Postdoctoral Research Symposium to be eligible to present your work to your Stanford peers and for the chance to win a Best Oral or Best Poster Presentation Award.

Postdocs are among the highest educated people in the world. Not surprisingly, many see postdocs as the leaders of the future. While some postdocs find futures as scientific leaders in academia, many venture into the world becoming leaders in a variety of different fields. In this symposium, we celebrate and showcase Stanford postdocs as the leaders of tomorrow. How does your Stanford training empower you to lead?

This half-day symposium will be opened by Dean Minor and showcase several oral and poster presentations that will represent the full diversity of postdoctoral talent offered at Stanford. From among these presenters, a qualified jury of postdocs and faculty will carefully select three best oral and three best poster award winners. All postdocs who currently train at or are affiliated with Stanford may apply. Presentations must describe work and ideas generated while training as a postdoc at Stanford. From all applications, a committee of postdocs will construct an exciting program that features the best research at Stanford, representing the most exciting ideas and diversity in leadership.

During the symposium, there will be stands and posters with postdoc opportunities together with selected posters. Stay tuned for more information.

In designing your application, please use  lay language and describe your work in a way that not only demonstrates your leadership but also  helps the program committee appreciate the value of what you do, as many of them will not be acquainted with your field of research.

Are you becoming a leader? Let Stanford know!
