Jade Ribbons but not Jaded Hearts

Stanford Team HBV’s first Hepatitis B Awareness Week was a huge success!

Monday: Developing Effective Healthcare Campaigns: SF HepBFree. ¬†About 30 students came to hear Meredith Bergin Bailey talk about her role in designing San Francisco’s successful Hepatitis B Public Health Campaign.

Tuesday: Jade Cookie Day! Students across campus enjoyed jade frosted sugar cookies in the dining halls while learning about hepatitis B.

Wednesday: World Hepatitis Day with free Jamba Juice! Team HBV gave away 100 jamba juices and hepatitis B fliers to students in White Plaza.

Thursday: Jade Balloon Day! Students woke up to a campus covered in jade colored balloons! Almost 1000 balloons were tied to bikes across campus with information about hepatitis B and invitations to participate in a raffle! 2 students won $25 amazon gift cards as well!

Vaden’s free screening program was launched during Hepatitis B Awareness Week, but continues beyond it! You can still make an appointment for a free screening at http://vadenpatient.stanford.edu.
