About the seminar
Lost in the Myths of Time is a Stanford University summer seminar sponsored by the Bing Overseas Programs with the University of Nottingham. The seminar is comprised of fourteen undergraduate students from varying academic backgrounds brought together under the tutelage of Professor Elaine Treharne and accompanied by graduate assistant Matthew Aiello. Having met up in the U.K. at the end of June, the group spent three weeks studying Anglo-Saxon language, landscape, and identity in its many iterations. As an immersive and intensive learning experience, the seminar’s itinerary included field trips in and around Nottinghamshire, Wales, Cambridgeshire and classroom components at the University of Nottingham and the University of Cambridge.
