Did you know that there is a free, open source, fully featured alternative to the Microsoft Office suite of applications? is a cross-platform, completely compatible suite of applications that allow you to create and open documents, spreadsheets, slideshows, and database files, as well as vector-based graphic files. As they say on the website, it’s great software, easy to use, and FREE!

WriterImpressCalc, and Base look, feel, and work the same way that their Office 2003 equivalents did. And they can open, edit, and save all Office file formats, including the new 2007/2010 versions. You can save your documents in any office format, including PDF!
