The MIDDLE EAST and WMD

Tor Guimaraes asks: "How can we expect Muslin countries and other countries not to have WMD when Israel has WMD? If you are a nation feeling threatened by your enemies' WMD, doesn t your government have a duty to protect its citizens by also having WMD?

What are the rules for deciding who can or can t have WMD before we go around starting wars to wipe out such weapons. Maybe we have no rules and do not want to have them so we can choose which countries to invade, using WMD as a pretext".

RH:
Tor expresses a widespread view. A Middle East consisting of a US-backed Israel with a monopoly of WMD and Muslim states simply as potential targets is viewed as unjust and unstable. There are serious demands for a nuclear-free Middle East.
