The Stanford Women's Club Soccer Team is a competitive team that brings together a close-knit group of 20 or so girls from a variety of walks of life, majors, and class years to play great soccer. But we also like to have fun with occasional Friday Fun-day practices and social events. Most of us have had prior high school and club team experience, and we are currently all undergrads, but we welcome any and all who want to join us! Information on Fall 2013 tryouts will be posted below.

Practices happen three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm. We practice on the IM South/Serra Square Fields located on the corner of Serra St and El Camino. Practices are mandatory and crucial for the team, but exceptions are made for classes.

We generally play games on weekends, depending on the season. In the fall we play weekly friendlies against local colleges and club teams. During winter and spring quarters we compete in the West Coast Soccer Association Nor Cal League for Northern California colleges. Typically two times a year (fall and spring) we travel around the state to compete in club tournaments (i.e. LA, San Diego, San Luis Obsipo, etc.), and organize one friendly tournament on campus with teams from further away (i.e. Cal Poly or University of Oregon).

We host a number of social events every quarter including mixers with other club sports teams, weekly team hang outs, mixers with other club sports teams, and, yes, study sessions.

Tryouts for the 2014-15 school year will be held on Sept. 27 (9-11am), Sept. 29 (6:15-8pm) and Oct. 1 (6 - 7:30pm). Players are required to attend two of the three, but are encouraged to attend all three if possible. The IM Turf fields are located next to the rugby stadium in the field complex between Serra St. and El Camino (or search “Johnson field” on campus-map.stanford.edu - it's not the "artificial turf field!" ).

The Fall 2014 schedule will be posted in early September.
