Stanford 46, Davis 0

Recovering from a huge upset against Chico State and the loss of several key players due to injury, Stanford bounced back with a decisive victory against UC Davis last Saturday. The weather was perfect, and the team had trained hard during the week, working with the adjustments they had to make due to the injuries. Moving inside center Melissa Smit to flyhalf and inserting wingers and fullbacks into the remaining backline positions, Stanford’s new lineup seemed to work. Although the team initially had some difficulty adapting to the new positions in the first half of the game, they soon adjusted and were moving the ball fast and wide as they have in the past. Outside center Carey Myslewski led the team in tries, and Stanford’s defense held Davis from scoring. The final score of the game was 46-0.
