I am a second year PhD student in American politics and political methodology at Stanford University. My research focuses on American elections, who participates, why, and with what result. I have a particular interest in how elections influence the criminal justice and immigration policy choices public officials make. Prior to Stanford, I worked for an energy consulting firm conducting quantitative program evaluation and developing research designs for electric and gas utilities. I received a Master of Public Policy degree from UC Berkeley in 2014.
