I am a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where I work with Ashish Goel as part of the Social Algorithms Lab and the Crowdsourced Democracy Team. I received my BSc in Electrical Engineering at Caltech, where I worked with Jehoshua Bruck as part of the Molecular Programming Project.
I am grateful to be supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. I am also an Accel Innovation Scholar and two-time recipient of a Brown Institute for Media Innovation Magic Grant.

My thesis focuses on algorithmic aspects of social systems. I am especially interested in understanding how local social interactions cause emergent collective phenomena, and how we can algorithmically design for such collective phenomena. Projects I have worked on include:
