We visited Eastling
in Kent, England in July primarily to attend Deb's brother
Don's induction as priest into his three new parishes there,
part of the Canterbury diocese. Clearly they are very happy to
have Don there, and made us feel very welcome as well. It was
interesting to see a continuous list of clergy at St Mary's
starting in 1200 and just having added Don's name for 2013. We
stayed at their house, The Rectory, in Eastling, a village of
360 from the 2000 census. We visited Leeds Castle and
Canterbury, took an "Eccentric London" walking tour with
London Walks, plus walking tours of Faversham and of the National
Farm Collection (gorging on cherries while there). And plenty
of walks in the Eastling countryside.
