Stanford Hmong Outreach Program Promoting Education (SHOPPE) 2014 Application

The Stanford Hmong Outreach Program Promoting Education is the Stanford Hmong Student Union's annual high school outreach program. Its goal is to provide high school students with an academically enriching college experience on the Stanford University campus and inspire them to pursue higher education. During the program students will attend course lectures, a campus tour, and other activities relative to the college experience. SHOPPE is a 3-day, 2-night program held from April 11, 2014 to April 13, 2014. Students will be housed with HSU members who have generously agreed to host them.

Application Information

The program is open to all Hmong high school students who plan to attend college or pursue higher education. Preference will be given to sophomores and juniors who have not committed themselves to specific colleges.

Students living in areas near Fresno, Merced, and Sacramento will be picked up and dropped off at centralized locations on the dates of SHOPPE.

This application is due February 14, 2014 at 11:59PM PST. Students will be notified of their status by March 1, 2014.
