Computational Models of the Mind: Comparing Connectionist and Bayesian Perspectives on Cognition and Language

     This symposium is dedicated to questions about how to understand the relationship between the connectionist and Bayesian approaches to research on cognition and language. (See Aim.)

Speakers include Jeff Elman, Noah Goodman, Tom Griffiths, Jay McClelland, Dave Plaut, Patrick Suppes, and Josh Tenenbaum.

The events on Friday October 8 will take place in Jordan Hall Room 041, while the events on Saturday will be held in the Levinthal Room of the Stanford Humanities Center. For more details, please see Program and Location.

The symposium is open to the public. There will be dinner provided on Friday, and a light breakfast as well as lunch on Saturday.
