John D. Krumboltz

Just to acquaint you with a few of my many interests:

To see some information about the new book that I wrote with Al Levin, click on Luck Is No Accident: Making the Most of Happenstance in Your Life and Career.
The book is now in its 2nd Edition with a 2010 copyright date which can be ordered from the publisher's website.

One of my research interests is in the effects of beliefs and assumptions on human behavior. One's beliefs affect behavior in all domains of life. I have been particularly interested in career beliefs and have developed the Career Beliefs Inventory.

If you want to take the Career Beliefs Inventory online, click here.
For self-scoring CBI booklets and/or the Manual entitled CBI Applications and Technical Guide, click here.

You can see the most up-to-date version of my theory called The Happenstance Learning Theory.

I also worked on developing videos for a website now obsolete called "Inspired2Work". These videos have been donated to John Horan at Arizona State University and can be seen on his brilliant website called the Virtual Career Counselor (VCC).

But life is not all work and no play. One of my great joys is playing the game of tennis. I also happen to be a member of the Palo Alto Tennis Club.
