I retired on September 15, 2015 and received emeritus status.  The 2015 research trip to Palmyra got postponed, but I hope I to participate on the third and final trip of the research project in the summer of 2016.  If I do, I will resurrect my blog.

I will be making my second trip to Palmyra Atoll this summer to help with a research project looking at the impact of parrot fish on coral recruitment.  I did a daily blog last summer and hope to do the same this year.  Check it out for pictures and to learn about the challenges of doing research in a remote, exotic location.  The hot link above will work, or just search Google for Palmyra Librarian and you will find it.
