Through its program of
certification, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates
(ECFMG®) assesses the readiness of international
medical graduates to enter residency or fellowship programs in the United
States that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate
Medical Education (ACGME).
ECFMG offers a variety of other programs and services to physicians educated abroad and other members of the international medical community. Detailed information on ECFMG certification and ECFMG's other programs and services is available on this site and in the ECFMG Information Booklet. If you are an international medical student or graduate interested in ECFMG certification, you must refer to the ECFMG Information Booklet for detailed information and application procedures. You can download the Information Booklet and Application Materials from the Publications Page of this website. Individuals without access to the Internet can contact ECFMG to request these materials. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery after your request is received at ECFMG. |
