Teachscape provides comprehensive K-12 teacher professional development services incorporating web-based video case studies of standards-based teaching and communities of learners. Teachscape is a team of educators, staff developers, multimedia producers, technologists, and researchers dedicated to working with school districts and other educational institutions to provide the highest-quality teacher professional development.

We have built a well-integrated array of online and on-site services that provide continuous and sustainable professional development for teachers at all experience levels, at home and at school. Our system’s features include:

• A multimedia content resource library (accessed online, anytime), with:
• Video-based case studies that illustrate and analyze exemplary teaching in real classrooms
• Examples of student work from featured classrooms

• Links to content and teaching standards
• Teachers’ reflections on their classroom instruction video
• Specialist commentaries
• Study groups that promote professional dialogue and mutual support
• Facilitated discussions with colleagues, featured teachers, and experts in education
• Activities for teachers that incorporate learning into daily practice
• Tools for self-reflection
• Self-assessment opportunities

Teachscape educational designers work with clients to develop customized professional development programs based on existing professional development efforts and their immediate teaching and learning needs.
