Zahedi Family Fellowship Application

The Hamid and Christina Moghadam Program in Iranian Studies at Stanford University invites applications for the 12-week residential Zahedi Fellowship. The fellowship is open to scholars and artists working on the modern history of Iran, particularly the period of 1941 to 1979. Preference will be given to scholars who have worked on aspects of modern Iranian foreign policy, history, and culture. Fluency in Persian is required. The fellowship funds international travel, health insurance, and visa support, in addition to a $12,000 stipend for living expenses. In addition to library access, the fellow will have use of a shared work space at the Hoover Archives where the Zahedi Collection is housed. Interested applicants should submit this application form, a letter of application, a Curriculum Vitae, a writing sample, two letters of recommendation, and a short proposal for ap ublic lecture and/or workshop. **Please note: the Zahedi Fellowship has been extended and will now take place in the fall of 2018 to coincide with the publication of the Zahedi Archive.
