If you are an applicant/prospective applicant whose first language is not English and you earned (or will earn prior to enrollment at Stanford) a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree from an international institution in which English is the only language of instruction, submit this form for an evaluation for exception to the TOEFL requirement. The evaluation process can take up to 10 business to complete. You will be notified via email.
An evaluation is NOT needed if your first language is not English and you have earned (or will have earned) a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in the United States, Australia, Canada (except Quebec), New Zealand, Singapore, Ireland, or the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales) as you are automatically exempted from the TOEFL requirement.
This form is not applicable for Law, Medicine MD and Graduate School of Business applicants. Contact the School’s Admission Office for English proficiency requirements.
