International Health in Developing Countries

 

Are you interested in...

- Learning more about International Health?

- Having an opportunity to observe surgeries in the Operating Rooms at Stanford?

- Shadowing a Stanford Clinic Family Practitioner?

Starting Fall Quarter 1996, this internship will be available to four (4) students in the Human Biology program. The activities of the internship (120 hours) will include the following:

*** Completing an Independent Study Project for Child Family Health International (CFHI), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides free health care and international health education opportunities for medical students and health professionals. Projects are hand-tailored to fit the skills and interests of the students, covering the fields of communication, health education, medical research, and non-profit administration.

*** Students will have an opportunity to shadow either a surgeon or a Family Physician to learn more about the medical profession.
