I'm currently a graduate/undergraduate student at Stanford. Do you have any positions open in your lab?

If you have some experience in medical imaging, molecular imaging, image processing, computer vision, computer graphics, biomedical informatics, quantitative biological modeling and/or biophysical simulation, positions may be available. If you do not have any experience or background in any of these areas but would like to gain experience and are a hard worker and quick learner, there is the possibility to do a directed reading project for course credit after which, a position might be possible.

I get a good number of requests and interviewing many people takes time. If you send me a generic email about being interested in "your research" or if you send out spam many of my colleagues (believe me, we know), your request will almost certainly be ignored.

I'm not currently affiliated with Stanford and I'd like to work with you. Is that possible?

If you already have a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant area, there may be a possibility for a postdoc position.

Otherwise, you generally need to be a currently enrolled Stanford student for a position in my lab. If you are specifically interested in applying to the Biomedical Informatics Training Program, I can answer any questions about it, particularly in regards to imaging informatics.

What is your favorite color?

Blue. No yellow...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
