Research Interests

My research interests lie at the intersection of law and organization theory, with particular emphasis on policymaking and compliance. Specific projects include a study of how private (nongovernment) organizations use information flows to influence policymaking and an historical overview of the modern corporation. Other research interests include the diffusion of legal doctrine, the tradeoffs between intellectual property and innovation, and the relationship between celebrity and prestige.
