|The strength of EPACT relies on the combined talents and commitment
of the residents of East Palo Alto, tenants, homeowners, and many other inspiring
individuals that have dedicated their efforts to empower the cause of affordable housing.
With your active support and assistance, EPACT can further strengthen its capacity to advocate and organize to maintain the availability of affordable rental housing for the largely low and moderate income population of the City.
To be a part of our diverse membership, please join us at our monthly meetings or at any of our current activities. Currently, EPACT currently consists of twenty core members. Anyone can become a member of EPACT and all members are eligible to participate on the board of directors. EPACT strongly encourages the membership and participation of non-residents of East Palo Alto, such as students and employees of the area.
An active member of EPACT promotes the empowerment of renters in the city of East Palo Alto, the Bay Area and the State of California. EPACT members actively educate renters about their rights under the East Palo Alto Rent Stabilization Ordinance. In addition, they promote safe, sanitary, and affordable housing for all people. EPACT members also strategize at regular monthly meetings to put their ideas and beliefs into operation. They participate in many community and regional organizations that promote rent control and the development of permanent, affordable housing.
EPACT meets every second Friday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. Please call (650) 322-9725 for more information.
