|Join the Rent Stabilization Board to have your voices
Established under the Rent Stabilization and Eviction for Good Cause Ordinance, the Rent Stabilization Board aims to protect rent control and renters from unlawful evictions. It consists of seven appointed Board Members and three alternates appointed by the East Palo Alto City Council. The Board is responsible for setting and enforcing the rent ceilings for all rental units, making studies, surveys, and investigations about tenant communities, and conducting public hearings relating to tenant issues.
Regular Rent Stabilization Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chamber, located at 2415 University Avenue, East Palo Alto.

Rent Stabilization Board members receive a stipend in the amount of $35 for each regular and special meeting.
