I am not a seasoned mountain climber by anyone's definition. In one of the few climbs I managed, I was lucky to stay in the Yushan National Park (Mt. Jade) for 10 days. Besides the joy of observing alpine birds for an extended period of time, I also had a great opportunity exploring different parts of the national park. Nan Ze Shen River is one of the dozen rivers originated from Mt. Jade. Looking down Nan Ze Shen Creek from 500 feet below the island's highest point was magnificent. Unfortunately, what camera captured was just a fraction of the true beauty.
