Yair Carmon

first name + first letter of last name @ stanford.edu

I am a PhD student at Stanford University in the Electrical Engineering department, advised by John Duchi and Aaron Sidford. I obtained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the Technion, Institute of Technology, where I was fortunate to work with Shlomo Shamai and Tsachy Weissman.

My research interests are in optimization, machine learning, information theory, signal processing and statistics. I particularly like understanding (and getting around) fundamental limits.

My name is pronounced Yah-ear (here it is with the Hebrew pronunciation of 'r' ).
