Welcome to the CS182 web site for Winter 2025-26!
Important course information will be posted on this web page and
announced in class. You are responsible for all material that appears

Assignment (take home final exam) #5 has been released. It is due at 11:59pm (pacific

Week of February 2nd
- Samples of philosophy papers are now available on the
Assignments page to give you a
better sense of expectations for the philosophy paper.
Week of January 26th
- Slides from TA session on Writing a Philosophy Paper are available

- Assignment #2 released

- CS182W students (only) should make sure to sign-up for a
meeting with the Technical Communication Program (TCP)
as part of your WIM requirement. Please sign-up

Week of January 12th

Assignment #1 has been released. It is due at 11:59pm (pacific

Week of January 5th
- During the first class we will ask you to submit your paragraph on
"Why are you interested in taking this class?"
(We will discuss this question a bit in class before asking
you to fill out this form, so please wait until class to
fill out this form.)
- Welcome to CS182 (and CS182W)! The class
lectures are held at 3:00-4:20pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in
CoDa B80.
Sections meet on Fridays at 3:00pm in various rooms on
campus. Sections start the second week of class. You will
receive notification of the location and teaching assistant for
your section by email after the first week of classes.
Importantly, you do not need to sign up for section on Axess,
as that will not reflect your actual section assignment. You
only need to sign up for the class lecture on Axess.
