Final Project

1. I have included all code that was used for the final report. In addition, I included code that I put together to run the video enhancement algorithm from Warrant et al. I decided to shift gears to still images because the processing time was extremely long…hours. Image processing seemed like a better segue into anyway. I’ll include the frames I used to test initially. The NVG images (about 75 of them) are large and took very long to process.

***Everything from here down pertains to my submitted report***

2. For contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization, you’ll just need to open up the CLAHE.mlx, choose an image, and run.

3. For the bilateral filter, I used one based of Tomasi and Manduchi’s paper, code written by Douglas R Lanman, Brown University, 2006. You’ll just need to open up Demo.m, choose the image and adjust w and sigma as necessary. Current settings are what I used for the project. I have greened out portions of the script I didn’t need/want such as grayscale processing and additive noise.

4. The BM3D filter was written by Dabov and based on his paper cited in my report. I chose the color version for obvious reasons. Just open CBM3D.m and choose the image. The filter is set up for image (g) in my report. Sigma is changed on line 123, noise can be added back in on line 302.
