Directed Study

Directed Study (sometimes called Independent Study) is a coherent, well-defined, substantive project approved by a Faculty Member and supervised by the Course Instructor, usually resulting in a major written document.

In the context of Perspectives in Assistive Technoloy, a Directed Study Project enables a student to refine his / her ENGR110/210 project in the Spring Quarter.

Mechanical Engineering Directed Study Courses are:

ME191 - Engineering Problems and Experimental Investigation

Directed study and research for undergraduates on a subject of mutual interest to student and staff member. Student must find faculty sponsor and have approval of adviser. Students who wish to use this course as a Technical Elective must seek approval by petition during the prior quarter.
