Things that make me think life is richer and more interesting:

• J. S. Bach, Fats Waller, Art Tatum, Miles Davis, Beethoven's quartets, Bruckner (sometimes)
• Elizabethan English, at all times and in all places
• Mount Taygetus, particularly in the rain
• Having my ten-year-old beat me at chess
• The Sequence of Tenses in Greek (I used to have a mnemonic for these-- but I forgot it)
• The practical consequences of the First Amendment
• Rereading
• Most forms of silk
• Partners in Health
• Baudelaire
• Telephone conversations, now that the boring stuff has moved to e-mail
• Creative misunderstanding

My dream house

And if you really want to see my CV, here it is.
