The Team
Dima Brezhnev
This is Dima's sixth year at Stanford (four years undergraduate pursuing CS and Math Bachelor's degrees and two years in MS in CS), and he has never used a saw for a class before. Until ME 210, that is! Usually programming systems that come alive entirely in virtual memory, ME 210 was really a new experience in applying programming to a system living and breathing along with the rest of the world, influenced by the noise and randomness of real life. He learned a lot about transistors, motors, circuits and fundamentals of mechanical systems, and wants to thank the teaching staff for the countless hours and dedication they've poured into the class that made it all possible.

Wyatt Smitherman
Joining Stanford as a 1st-year Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Wyatt hails from his hometown of Austin. Though he's lived all over the country, he was born and raised mostly in the state of Texas, entering Texas A&M University in Fall of 2010 pursuing a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate curriculum. In December of 2013 he graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Minors in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering, after which he joined Schlumberger Ltd. in Sugarland, TX as a Testing Intern for seventh months. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Dynamics and Controls, and hopes to land an internship with Tesla Motors this Summer with his newly-found Mechatronics experience.

Shannon McClintock
Originally from San Diego, Shannon came to Stanford for her undergrad. Other than a fantastic year abroad at Oxford University, she has been here since studying English Creative Writing and Mechanical Engineering. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Mechanical Engineering Dynamics and Controls. She looks forward to applying the skills and experiences that she has gained during ME210 to her work with autonomous vehicles. She would like to thank the teaching team and her fellow teammates on Max Torque for making the project such a great learning experience.
