Senior Vice President, Product, Development and Architecture - eBay
As senior vice president of eBay’s Product, Development and Architecture organization, Lynn Reedy oversees the entire product development process for the number one consumer e-commerce site in the world. This includes responsibility for product specification, UI design, usability testing, architecture, development, and release management.
Lynn joined eBay in 1999 as Vice President of Product Development. In this role, Lynn was responsible for creating the processes and organization that increased output four fold while only doubling headcount. Today, eBay releases 60 thousand lines of code biweekly, and delivers over 150 features per quarter across seventeen different countries. The software architecture supports 670 million page views, 120 million searches and four billion database calls per day. eBay has arguably become the most sophisticated website in the world.
Prior to joining eBay, Lynn was SVP and CIO of Miller Freeman, Inc. a leading media company and largest trade show producer in the world. At Miller Freeman, Lynn implemented strategic business systems and developed the company’s Internet strategy for over 200 web sites. Lynn also spent nine years at Amdahl Corporation and seven years at Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture).
Lynn received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science from University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
