Annotated Bibliography
4% of quarter grade
due Wednesday, February 7th
submit this assignment together with last week's "working bibliography"
| The annotated bibliography consists of a partial list of the sources you will use in your research.   Unlike the assignment that was due January 31st ("working bibliography"), which used 3" x 5" index cards and documented potential sources, this assignment will require 4" x 6" index cards or larger and will include notes about these sources.   In essence, this assignment is an exercise in the proper way to take notes for a major research project (for guidance, see NSMH, pp. 484-486).   It also is an exercise in gleaning and using information without committing plagiarism (for guidance, see NSMH, pp. 494-496).
This annotated bibliography will consist of a minimum of seven entries.   Each entry for this assignment must correlate with a card in the existing working bibliography.   If no such card exists, you must create one and submit it along with this assignment.   The top card of the stack (one separate from the entries) should include your name, the date, the name of the assignment ("Annotated Bibliography"), your e-mail address, and a brief (one or two sentence) description of your research project.   Submit the working bibliography along with this assignment: use two strong rubber bands to bind this week's set of cards as well as two for last week's. If you are expanding your Fall quarter's source-based argument, all but one of the entries for this assignment must represent new sources. Here are some stipulations.   Of the seven entries:
