The Department of Applied Physics invites applications for the 2019 Karel Urbanek and Marvin Chodorow Postdoctoral Fellowships.

This annual program is aimed at recruiting young scientists of exceptional ability with the  potential to do outstanding research in our department. The appointment includes 2 years of support with a competitive salary and benefits, and the competition is open to both theorists and experimentalists.

Applications and supporting credentials must be submitted through Academic Jobs online (https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/11345). Candidates are asked to submit a curriculum vitae including publication list, and a two page research statement that details proposed research and possible collaborations within Applied Physics. Candidates should also arrange to have two letters of reference submitted.

Candidates are required to identify one or more host faculty within Applied Physics with whom they have discussed their proposed research and who will be asked to submit an additional nomination letter on their behalf.

The deadline for applications for the 2019-2021 competition will be 12:00 noon PST on Thursday, November 1st. We expect to be able to make offers to successful candidates in early December.  Appointments are expected to begin during the period June – December, 2019.
