The ARCHIVE is a digital library of texts, images, and audiovisual documents from and on the early modern period, which address the representation of the human body in Renaissance Europe, specifically France. Fully searchable, the ARCHIVE will contain the following rubrics:

  • Authors : portrait of and bio-bibliographical information on each author studied in the courses featured in AGORA.
  • Works: a digital library of full-texts and scans of French 16th c. literature.
  • Contexts: documents on specific themes or historical events.
  • Iconothèque: the image library will gather rare material from late-medieval manuscripts, medical plates, emblem books, literature, tapestries, musical scores, sketch books and other visual arts.
  • Mediathèque: audio recordings, video and music scores of early modern music or performances (forthcoming).
