Description
Eudora is an e-mail program that is widely used at Stanford. Eudora has features for managing your mail, including filters to weed out unwanted messages, folders for organizing messages, and an address book for storing frequently used email addresses.
Eudora 6 has several new features. Complete information about the new features is available on Qualcomm's Eudora web site. This download is available for OS 10.2 and later only. If you use Mac 10.1.x, use Eudora 5.2.1, which is available on the Previous Software Versions page. If you use Mac OS 9.2 or earlier, use Eudora 5.1.1, which is available on the Previous Software Versions page.
Stanford offers POP and IMAP email services. Eudora can be configured for either service. See Is IMAP Right For Me if you need help deciding which email protocol is best for you to use
A secure login is required for receiving @stanford email. Stanford's recommended configuration of Eudora uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Eudora also supports Kerberos. Users who wish to use Kerberos's secure authentication processs and single sign-on capabilities can do so by installing the Kerberos Configuration Tool (for Mac OS X 10.4 and above) and configuring Eudora to use Kerberos authentication.

Notes
- Version 6.2.4 for Macintosh will the last commercial version of Eudora.

open source product effective the first half of calendar year

- If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Eudora, installation of Eudora 6 should retain your settings. However, you should still check the configuration instructions to learn about the new Junk Mail feature.
- If you are not using your @Stanford mail account, enter the account information from the administrator of the system you are using. For information about setting up an @Stanford mail account, go to the Stanford Email web page (Internet connection required).
