MacLeland 2.4.1
On this page:
MacLeland is no longer available. Mac OS X 10.4 users should upgrade their software to replace MacLeland with the Kerberos Configuration Tool.
Description
MacLeland brings Kerberos authentication and encryption to the Macintosh desktop for the SUNet community. This means your password, which you enter in Eudora or Mail.app to retrieve your mail from the mail server, will not get transmitted unencrypted across the network. This type of security is critical for many network services available to the Stanford community.
MacLeland also provides access from the Mac desktop to Stanford's AFS file system.. You can work with your AFS files from your desktop. You also have access to the AFS files of other community members, as well as other public files. (This requires installation of MacAFS, which can be downloaded from Essential Stanford Software.)
