Determination of Vm and Km

Determination of Km and Vm by this method is only possible if the elimination of the drug obeys the Michaelis-Menten kinetics.  The methodology is not valid if the compound is eliminated by this in addition to a first order process.  In such an instance, the change in drug concentration with time is given by the equation:
