The examiner directly faces the participant and continues to demonstrate each position statically until the participant feels that he or she has accurately reproduced it [10 sec. maximum per position]. The position is correct when the interlocking finger component is accurate regardless of positioning of the non-interlocking fingers or posture of the arms (figures 1-4), or when the thumb of one hand touches the index finger of the opposite hand to create a quadrilateral space (figure 5).
