Healthy Eating and Body Image Consortium

Eating disorders (past and present) and body image concerns are common and disabling problems among students. In Fall 2010 the Healthy Eating and Body Image Consortium, an interdisciplinary group of administrators, staff, faculty, and students, was organized to empower the student population to embrace a balanced relationship with food, exercise and body image, and to foster awareness and collaboration in the broader Stanford community about the importance of preventing and treating eating disorders. This led to the development of the Stanford Healthy Body Image Program, which oversees and supports the activities of the Consortium.
