About

Mathias is studying Management and Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His majors are Computer Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is also participant in the Entrepreneurial Qualification Program "Manage&More". This is a program of the Center for Innovation and Business Creation at the TU Munich (“UnternehmerTUM”) which supports Innovation and Start-Up Projects. While at UnternehmerTUM, Mathias was involved in developing concepts and material for BMW Logistics, as well as helping researchers of the Fraunhofer Institut in founding a new company in the Smart Home IoT sector. He is also engaged into own startup projects as well as AI and machine learning. At Stanford he took the classes CS229: Machine Learning and MS&E273: Technology Venture Formation.

He joined the Designing Education Lab to learn more about the role of motivational psychology in engineering edcuation. Currently he is working on a research project which explores the effect of work experience onto the goal to work in innovative work environments, as well as the pursue for self-efficacy.

Mathias likes to spend his free time playing soccer, mountainbiking, hiking, skiing and snowboarding in the mountains.
