Jan Behrenbeck is a third year undergraduate student in engineering science at the Technical University Munich (TUM). His focus is on mechanical engineering. Jan participates in the entrepreneurial scholarship program Manage&More at the Center for Innovation and Business Creation at TUM (UnternehmerTUM) and does a lot of social work. He joined the DEL in October 2013 as visiting student researcher to write his Bachelorthesis on "The Influence of Prototyping on Engineering Education."

In his free time Jan makes a lot of music. He started with trumpet and flugelhorn when he was six. Later on he teached himself playing piano. In Germany he plays in several bands (Big Band, Coverband, Duett). In Stanford he joined the Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band (LSJUMB). In the rest of his time he likes to play soccer or explore nature.
