Sam Brunhaver is a Ph.D. candidate in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford. She also has a Ph.D. minor in Education. Her primary research focuses on the pathways of students and alumni in engineering fields. Her dissertation explores and models the factors that affect recent engineering alumni's plans to work in an engineering position. She is undertaking this work as part of the&nbsp;<span style="line-height: 1.5em;">NSF funded Engineering Pathways Study (EPS).</span>

She is also a founding member of the Stanford American Society for Engineering Education student chapter. As an undergraduate, Sam did co-ops and internships at The Procter &amp; Gamble Company, The Boston Scientific Corporation, and A.W. Chesterton.&nbsp; <br>

Peggy's passion lies at the intersection of solid mechanics and engineering education. Her research focuses on reforming introductory, fundamental engineering mechanics classes, particularly statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.

Peggy has taught statics and mechanics of materials for 13 years at Iowa State University before she joined the DEL team at Stanford.
