Shale Gas Report Released

A new report on "Changing the Game?: Emissions and Market Implications of New Natural Gas Supplies" has been issued by the EMF 26 Working Group and is available for download along with the data set containing model results.

EMF 29 Results Are Published

The EMF 29 working group has published its summary report and technical papers on the role of border carbon adjustment in unilateral climate policy in the journal Energy Economics. Border carbon adjustments are subsidies and taxes that protect energy-intensive industries from trade competition with industries outside of the particular country. These adjustments reduce the average emissions leakage rate in the reference case from 12 to 8 percent across the different models.
