A workshop intended to enhance the knowledge base for climate change decision making. It is the fourteenth consecutive Summer Workshop on Climate Change Impacts and Integrated Assessments (CCI/IA) in Snowmass, Colorado. Among the topics addressed was the effectiveness of Integrated Assessment as an interdisciplinary approach to provide policy makers with information to support decision making on the issue of global climate change. In the past year, Integrated Assessments and Integrated Assessment modeling have become the focus of increased attention as policy makers in the U.S. and around the world struggle with a variety of complex decisions associated with mitigating and adapting to climate change. To support such decision making, the IPCC is preparing for its fifth assessment, policy analysts are examining a host of proposals being put forth both domestically and internationally, and the US National Academy of Sciences is undertaking a major study entitled "Americas Climate Choices".
