The MAP/Ming Visiting Professorship
for Energy and the Environment was established by Mineral
Acquisition Partners, Inc. (MAP) <www.maproyalty.com> and
Michael and Diane Ming. This endowment provides Stanford the
opportunity to invite a leading, senior scholar in a selected
field of Energy and Environment every year.
The scholar is in residence for three to six months
and interacts with faculty and students in areas related to the science,
technology and/or management of energy. In order to enhance opportunities
for interaction, the scholar offers a course or an extended lecture
series.
