How To: View / Download Current or Historic Pay Statements

Who does this?  Stanford Employees

When?  Employees want to view or download their current or historic pay statements.

How?  Pay statements can be securely viewed online at any time from the Stanford Axess web site.

For help interpreting information on the pay statement, refer to Overview: Understanding Stanford Paychecks.

On this page:

View or Download a Single Pay Statement (2 steps)

Visit Stanford's Axess web site:

  1. Click https://axess.stanford.edu/.
  2. Click Login.
  3. Enter your SUNet ID and password as prompted.

View your current pay statement:

  1. Select Employee Center tab.
  2. Click View All Pay Statements. A list of all of your pay statements will display.
  3. Click the View Paycheck link of the pay statement that you wish to view, your pay statement will open in a new tab (pop-up Blockers must be disabled to view your online pay statement).
  4. Download the pay statement by right clicking in the new tab and selecting Save As.

View or Download Multiple Pay Statements (3 steps)

Visit Stanford's Axess web site:

  1. Click https://axess.stanford.edu/.
  2. Click Login.
  3. Enter your SUNet ID and password as prompted.

Generate a report of multiple pay statements:

  1. Click View All Pay Statements.
  2. Scroll down to Request Multiple Pay Statements.
  3. Enter the desired Range of Dates.
  4. Click Request Report.

Retrieve your report:

  1. Upon receiving the email notification that your report is ready, return to View All Pay Statements.
  2. Click Retrieve Report at the bottom of the page. Your report will open in a new tab (pop-up Blockers must be disabled to view your online pay statement report).
  3. Download the report by right clicking in the new tab and selecting Save As.
  4. Refer to Overview: Understanding Stanford Paychecks for help interpreting information on the pay statement.

Additional Notes

  • Online pay statements for paychecks issued after August 11, 2008 are presented in PDF format. Pay statements generated prior to this date will remain available in their original HTML format. Only PDF format pay statements can be downloaded using the Request Multiple Pay Statements process.
  • Lenders, brokers, and rental agencies requesting pay statements to verify employment for mortgage, re-finance, and rental applications should accept printed copies of your online pay statement.
  • Access to employee pay statements is secured in compliance with University Privacy and Security Guidelines.
    • You can personally safeguard your information by keeping your SUNet ID and password confidential. It is recommended that you change your SUNet ID password regularly by going to the StanfordYou web site.
    • Use caution when printing personal pay statements to public printers.
