Lab Report Guidelines

Write a short (3-4 pages) report describing you findings. Remember you are writing the report for a scientific paper to be submitted to Applied Physics Letters or Physical Review Letters. The report has to have the following:

  1. Title
  2. Authors
  3. Abstract
  4. Introduction
  5. Experimental Part
  6. Results
  7. Discussions
  8. Conclusion/Summary
  9. Literature

Parts 6 and 7 can be combined. Paper should include Figures and/or Tables if they necessary to make your point. All Figures/Tables shown in the report have to be mentioned in the text.

Please use the articles I provided as a guide for your report. Also you can find many more papers online (accessible only from Stanford computers) at:

Remember, you can always talk with me if you have questions or problems with the report.
