Hilton Obenzinger
Associate Director of the Hume Writing Center, Honors and Advanced Writing

Hilton Obenzinger has been hosting How I Write conversations for the past five years. Now the time has come to celebrate – and to turn the tables. First there will be a reception celebrating five years of How I Write, and then Kevin DiPirro, playwright and lecturer in the Program in Writing and Rhetoric, will engage Hilton in conversation on his own writing.

Dr. Obenzinger writes literary criticism, history, fiction, and poetry, receiving the American Book Award and other honors. His books include a*hole:a novel, How I Survived the Holocaust as Told by Zosia Goldberg, American Palestine: Melville, Twain and the Holy Land Mania, Cannibal Eliot and the Lost Histories of San Francisco, New York on Fire, and This Passover Or The Next I Will Never Be in Jerusalem. Busy Dying, an autobiographical novel, will soon be released.

Join Hilton Obenzinger, Associate Director of the Hume Writing Center , Honors and Advanced Writing, and Kevin DiPirro in a conversation on the techniques, quirks, and joys of creative writers and artists working in collaboration.

Sponsored by the Hume Writing Center , Undergraduate Advising and Research, and Stanford Continuing Studies
