Brian Knutson, PhD

Brian Knutson tests hypotheses about the brain basis of emotional experience. Specifically, by using a combination of functional magnetic resonance imaging, psychophysiological probes, and self-report indices, his lab is currently characterizing neural correlates of anticipation of reward and punishment in healthy humans. In collaboration with Dr. Gotlib, his lab is also investigating the brain base of affective dysregulation in patients with affective disorders.
