About Neuwrite-West

A crucial step toward improving the dialog between science and society is for scientists to learn how to communicate their ideas clearly and powerfully with the public. By sharing our passion and our curiosity, we can increase public awareness of the frontiers of scientific knowledge and can kindle public enthusiasm and support for the scientific project as a whole.

NeuWrite-West is an open forum for scientists, writers, physicians, journalists, and anyone interested in science communication to come together to learn from one another and develop new ideas for how to spread our love of science t0 the broadest possible audience.¬†We currently hold biweekly writers’ workshops at the Hume Writing Center and host NeuroTalk, a podcast for the Stanford Neuroscience community. We frequently invite local writers, editors, and other guests to our workshops to share their stories and insights.
